During the Civil War, Union troops occupied a small country church in Camp Springs, Maryland. That encampment eventually became Joint Base Andrews. And the church is still there, now known as Chapel Two. Located about 10 miles outside of Washington, D.C., today the base is home to the crew and aircraft that serve as Air Force One, not to mention the 113th Wing, 89th Airlift Wing, and more than 60 other units.
